Day 45

Just a quick update again, not much to report really.... apart from it's getting full in there!
DSC_0037.JPG
Group

Critical Jack 2 is massive for an auto (1.55m from the floor), the light is up at max height and I have about 6 inches clearance. She's flowering nicely, I had to remove some of the lower feeble stems, and I also bent some of the main stems at the sides over towards the free space at the back to stop the buds being crushed as the tent sucks in, and also to give me some space to pull her away from the Chronic Ryder.... it's getting a bit congested in the middle of the tent. She gets light from her own Helios Pro 2 and a bit of spread from the Helios 6.

Critical Jack 2

Chronic Ryder is moving in the right direction, well into flowering, she's getting frosty and the flowers are building nicely. she's about a week ahead of Critical Jack 2. I'm giving her the full force of the Helios 6 at 10 inches.

Chronic Ryder

Critical Jack 1 is still lagging behind by maybe 3 weeks... very healthy, she's just started flowering, and she's still slowly stretching.

Critical Jack 1

I have the Blumats delivering feed at EC 1.5, pH 5.7 - 6.2, but I give the girls a litre of extra feed 2-3 times a day by hand, each tailored to their individual needs.... for instance, Critical Jack 1 is still getting a little extra Nitrogen while she stretches, while the Chronic Ryder is getting a little PK 13/14, and I give varying amounts of Bud XL to Chronic Ryder and Critical Jack 2.

I do not exceed EC1.6, which I know they can all handle, and water down the extra feeds to adjust the EC if needed.

The photos don't really do them justice.... there's a lot of bud sites.... just gotta let them fatten up now!

Thank you all for your good karma

TT

Cheers Bro, I think 2 plants would have been enough for that tent (1.4m x 1.4m), they are massive..... Chronic Ryder is well into flowering.... she got a little House and Garden PK 13-14 last week and now she's on Top Shooter for the final push.

Chronic Ryder.JPG
Chronic Ryder day 48

there's a nice dusting of lemony pine frost

If you drug tested them, I think you will find they have traces of cannabis

The Critical Jack 2 takes up half the tent, and has stopped stretching.... the Helios 2 light is at its highest with 3 inches clearance to the top of the cola!

Critical Jack 1 is stretching nicely now, and I've had to do some trimming of her lower branches, they just weren't getting any light.

Meanwhile, in the garden.... and this is especially for you AB mate..... I walked out onto the deck and took a pic of the BEAST that makes a new web every night after crawling out from the roof somewhere....I dunno what the FUCK it is, but it would have those earwigs that came out of Autoberry's bamboo canes, yup..... it's gonna get bigger and bigger (roughly 4 inches at the moment). There's at least 6 of the fuckers coming off various spots on the roof.

Yesterday was the 1st day of summer, so it will be around for a while, I expect. Look, that web's been up maybe half an hour and dinner is served already.... whatever that is FFS.....

DSC_0037.JPG
I think it is an Orb weaver

I took this next shot a few nights ago, but it's out of focus purely cos I was in the dark, and I didn't wanna hang around trying to get autofocus to work (tonight, I used a torch to help get the pic and scram quick)

DSC_0036.JPG
and they reckon it's harmless to humans!!!

I guess they are happy where they are and they catch flying insects (and the occasional bird aparrently), so I can just about cope with that. If one gets inside though...... I have size 14 shoes..... blam....squelch.....spark up joint to recover

Thanks for the shots teetee my good friend.................. was the 10' huntsman out catching rats tonight then bro ?/....from it's root in garage,.........

if it is an orb, the belly make a good target !! ............... it would stop it laying 1000 mite-lings !!.................

The Ryder and Jacky look good teetee............. on the edge of dark green, but at 1.6ec minus tap Ec ?....... 1.2 Ec nute, they would be a little darker........... but not tip burn at that EC so good bliss point hit i think tee nute wise..........

Dont give Pk to early bro, as it can lead to a lot of foxtailing near the end etc. Start at the last 3wk before the flush window starts, 8-10 days ??........... as at the near the end, ethylene surges, and can convert the Pk13/14 etc............ you will need a mono sugar based energy source to go in with the Pk tee............. to finalize uptake symbiosis, and anabolism of mobile nutes etc.................... but do look good tee......

can you get pic of "Huntsman"........... would like to send to me kids with orb pic bro....... !!........

can you get 4 canes per pot and lift up side bows, to let more light down in bro is it pos to rotate once a day 180 dg ??......... as inevitable darker corners etc......... benefit from the rotation tee...............with spikes in pots might not be pos ??............... good growing bro............ long way from that little wardrobe days........ your skills have come along to mate............ xx.............AB

Ps; if that is the passive cold air intake duct on the floor teetee............... it would better being positioned in the top of the cab. As cold air sinks, and this maximizes mixing of new air (Cold) with hot air (Old), as it sinks down into mixing zones, ie the side fan outlets of the helios etc.................

where it is now is just filling floor up with cold air,............. chilling root balls down, quicker to cool in cocco than soil bro.............. soil is much more slower to change temps............... keep cocco at above 21 if pos............. adendum end !!..........AB

Hi AB Brudda,

I can't get carboload over here, I dontthinkit exists anymore? what would you suggest.... a different product? molasses? sugar cane? both available here in bulk! Maybe about 10-15ml of a molasses solution- 2-3 tbs in 5L hot water, then cooledand bottled.
Perhaps handwater with a bit of occasional Great White trichoderma?

How about Kelp.... I have a bottle of House and Garden Kelp sitting around....

When I do my flush, I plan to use fresh limes off the tree outside for pH-.... good idea?

Difficult to get in there, let alone rotate the pots! The tent is shit as it bows in by maybe 15cm, this reducing the width in the middle by 30cm each way, so my 1.4m x 1.4m is more like 1.1m each way

Sorry mate, I'm not gonna dig around in an old cabinet in a open garage full of shit for a photo opportunity.... the resulting photo will be of me getting repeatedly bitten by an angry spider..... and seeing that huntsmen look a bit like wolf spiders.... no blummin' way !

On the spider front, I was at work today, and had to move an extractor fan, and a fair sized huntsman ran out from underneath and up the wall, and back down again....
I was trying to kick it, crush it, anything, but missed 3-4 times

then I heard my client say (very quietly) "they say if you kill a spider, it rains for a day",

and I looked round to see my client and my assistant looking at me with horrified looks on their faces....

so I picked it off the wall (luckily I was wearing gloves) and hurled it out the window....

and my assistant said "if I knew what was going on, I would have picked it up and set it free outside, but you just got up and started kicking the wall, I had no idea what you were doing!"

And my client said "yeah, I thought you were upset about something and you were just venting!"

Good job I'm not a Gynaecologist or something! ;) Just a humble Butcher! ;) ;)

But, I saw a bit of beetle action outside just earlier, and could see through the glass doors, this bastard amongst the kids toys just tucking into a bit of dinner.....

huntsman2.JPG
time to burn the stuffed toys

.... and in true 'Blue Peter' style, here's one I killed earlier....

Hope you like the choice of cigarette!

is that a baby huntsman in toys bro ??..... it looks like in pic, it's carrying an amber sphere ??? what is it eating bro...?? Yeah, that's a baby, the yellow thing is a little beetle..... I think they are yellow scarabs or christmas beetles. Nothing to do with hygiene, we recently had a Biblical storm of them, every night for a couple of weeks, millions descend on the area and mate all night in a huge writhing spunky mess. We are also in the middle of paralysis tick season.... the dog on our property got done by 2, one over his heart and one on his pelvis, well he was paralysed from the waist down and nearly died.
We don't let many insects in the house... no cockroaches etc, but occasionally a fuckinggreat hornet or two might come in and have a sniff around... usually going for certain spots like behind a wardrobe or a picture.... I realised they were able to sniff out spider nests, these little 'blobs' of grey concrete, whch when crumbled, reveal loads of tiny spiders.... I'll let them have a feast before shooing them away with a newspaper. I've removed all nests, but if they come in now, I find out where they wanna go and exterminate as required.

the one larger than the ciggy, is a new species tee...?? dont look orb or, hunts....??............... but it looks like a baby one for sure !!......... WTF is mum & dad ??......!! Maybe Huntsmen are a bit like Brown snakes in that there's a massive variation in colour and markings? Kill first then research later after a joint. I hope it wasn't a Wolf spider? I got a spider chart and a snake ID book as secret Santa presents at work, so I'll have to take a butchers.

Lime Ph down is fantastic kit, but use only to Ph down during flush, as it is organic, it will bacterium up you res !!. if you make res and feed all of the res at that feed, then yea, use lime to Ph down, before you put nutes in to res yea......... hmmmm. maybe I will hand water them.... It should be around xmas and new year, plus each plant is gonna finish at different times, so no point in doing it with the res.

Did work for me. In my 1.2m teetee......... I might have a go for the next grow... it's too damaging to get in there, plus the Mrs is bound to get pissed with me half way through... mind you, after thinking about it, should be easy to thread a pole in, front and side, like Paul Daniels putting a sword through a box, and maybe nail a square panel of wood on each end, then suspend them in place... just don't want some insect crawling out one day

Strong webs too (some of the species trap birds), walk into one by mistake and it's horrible. I draw them back like curtains every morning LOL.
I figure I know where they are, and they do a god job keeping the other bastard insects at bay.

Day 58 update

I had forgotten how boring flowering can be.... waiting.... waiting..... waiting

The girls are doing well, all are flowering, and the tent is quite full....
day 58 group.JPG

They are on EC 1.7 with Bud XL and Multizyme at 1ml/L, and Drip Clean at 0.1ml/L fed through the Blumats. I have stopped Roots Excellurator and Amino Treatment.
I also hand water 2-3 times a day, a good 2L of the nutrient soup as above, but diluted to EC 1.2, then varying amounts of either Top Shooter or Top Booster (PK 13-14), depending on the plant's requirements. I used Top Booster (at 1ml/L) for a week, when I estimated there was about 3-4 weeks left, then used Top Shooter, starting at 0.25ml/L, rising to 2ml/L as they finish off the last few weeks.

I am considering making up some molasses to add to the hand feeds to give an extra boost. Cheers for the advice on that earlier AB mate!

Chronic Ryder is the most advanced, with 2-3 weeks left.
day 58 Chronic Ryder.JPG

She's got nice fat frosty buds, and is smelling beautiful. She is the shortest of a big bunch, standing at 1.10m, her main cola is 28cm long at the moment,
day 58 Chronic Ryder cola.JPG

day 58 Chronic Ryder cola close up.JPG

day 58 Chronic Ryder top.JPG

and she's got plenty of chunky side buds....
day 58 Chronic Ryder side bud.JPG

Critical Jack 2 is the next most advanced, with 3-4 weeks left in her, she is MASSIVE, at 1.40m
day 58 Critical Jack 2.JPG

she goes all the way to the back, not giving Critical Jack 1 much space
day 58 side opening.JPG

Again she has loads of thick side buds forming as well as a nice big cola
day 58 Critical Jack heads.JPG

Critical Jack 1, poor thing has been healthy all the way, but overshadowed by her supercharged sisters. She didn't stretch at the same time as the others, and got quite bushy instead. Now she's maybe 2 weeks behind, and has caught up in height, standing at a full 1.25m. She doesn't have much space widthways, so I had to trim her substantially in some areas and train her to fill the back section. She is still in early to mid flowering, and must have at least 5 weeks left in her.

day 58 Critical Jack 1.JPG
There she is, at the back

So that's where we are at the moment, more when it happens (yawn).....

You might have noticed there's a bit of a wildlife theme going on in this journal.... well today I have a 'guess who?' for you.

I found this stuck in my skimmer this evening  :o :o :o , what the fuck is it? Can't be a rat, I've seen some big ones round the bins beside the kebab shops on Green Lanes, but this has a small tail and a pointy nose?

DSC_0001.JPG
congratulations, it's a boy!

I fished it out for a better look, but it stank, so I hurled it into the rainforest for the snakes to eat. It must have been around 15 inches long and 7 inches wide.

Well due to the overwhelming response, I have no other option than to finish this thread.

LEDs from LED Hydroponics are great..... my grow testifies to that, and I am not involved with the company in any way, I'm just a happy customer.

BUT this site gets no visitors, and it's a security risk writing a journal, so adios everyone, good luck with your cannabis cultivation and happy growing karma to you all.

By the way, it was a Bandicoot.
