My Dutch passion Blog;= (Nieuw Stam Poto Dam) ORANGE HILL SPECIAL Fem/Reg.

My kit is thus;
11.65 cubic mtr space 2.5 by 2.2 floor space
100mm/580m2/hr thermo fan carbon both ends, out side carbon Y piece with 2 pheat filters on Y exit
filtered external air in assisted by 200m2/hr push fan
lighting = led & hps winter. Summer replace hps with led photon 3no 189 & 1no 126 & 240 evader.
nutes = genesis = micro, grow 2, & bloom & nothing else except pk13/14 boost + vit & mins. And a few drops of rizotonic in early stages in 30ltr res.
water = RO & tap water buffered to 150ppm then ph then nutes in at 21c Tap water background Ec is 0.2 to 0.3 = 100ppm/150ppm so deduct this from any Ec statements to get nute Ec.
soil = vermiculite and lime free sand in J inns potting on compy nothing else.
A 100mm duct taking hot air from ceiling and mixing with cold air at floor level ozone gen mixed in too, = homogenous room temp top to bottom. winter RH booster to keep my (VPD) vapor pressure deficit in the green !! temp 26c.

The seeds where put straight into the 6ltr pots, 10mm deep 100ml ph'ed water, then covered with clingfilm to give green house effect. 10 OHS went in and 9 came out the morning of day 3 from 1st wetting. This is where i run days from 1st wetting. So here they are, at;

Day 31

All OHS repotted to 15ltr air pots home made. Same soil as 6ltr on-grower. With added RHS "RootGrow" granules in bottom of 6ltr pot soil silhouette during 15ltr on potting.

The girls are cracking on quite a bit, strong growth showing.

All OHS Gynoecious strain, have shown micro pre sex at between 28 and 31 days, bang on schedule, showing low stress environment.

Ec is same 0.45 = inc 0.25 (Tap Ec) so 150ppm nute inc rizotonic. Ph 6.3 veg.

The canopy is running at 15k to 23k total lux at metering. i like to keep it around 20,000 lux veg and push upto 24-26,00 lux for fruitification. VPD is within 30-50% RH 45% canopy 26.5c.

Quite pleased at this stage, with these Orange Hill Specials @ 7wks.......9 days flower.............still on low Ec's running at 0.5 above tap water background at 150ppm. Buffering RO with 550ppm TDS tap water, then topping upto 250ppm with AN grow cal/mag buffer, ph it then add Genesis, then silicone/rizotonic & zym in that order. nice plants mate, I got some Orange Hill cutting and one from seed on the go.
I been told they very high in THC.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin is around 21% by plant mass on the chromo test LB, so a good hash plant id say. The early skunks from the late 80's was around 8% on chromo, so a big difference with OHS. What ever the crossbars strain was used to fem the gynoecious strain, ie, the original orange, was a mental plant for a back-cross cross ! i suspect the Dp "Outlaw" as it is in the elusive 20% plus range. no plant on this planet exceeds 24% tetrahydrocannabivarin, which converts during cure to "THC" and cures into bidinol & chrome etc........AB........

Update; Orange Hill Special Day 54 Flower 14. The Dutch Dames..oranjie !!

At 2 weeks since switch to 12/12...........suddenly, the OHS Dames, has pounced into flower, with superb vigor. using the veg nute to build fast bud primary structure rapidly. Quite surprizing, but most welcome rapid fruit developments.....OHS......Ec above tap still 0.56 Ph 6.4.......26.5c........VP Deficit is, (less than) < 40%, and is making a powerfull difference to early fruitification window. Stretch pretty much complete now, tallest 1.45m from soil, smallest 90cm........the show goes on OHS >>>...AB

Note; Before, any other updates are completed else where on tinternet...........thanks for dropping in guy's, nxt update i am expecting fruits to have doubled in size, as Gen micro & bloom will be put to use with higher Ec's. As i have heard, the OHS is very hungry in panic mode !!....we will see what she can take now i have very low TDS in root ball matrix. Looking forward to the flower show indeed with this set........great strain. .....AB

Alrgt LB....yea, put 10 down, at 24c, straight into 2ltr pot, soaked em well in with seedling start, then covered pot top in clingfilm to give greenhouse stable temp. Got nine out within 6 day's, one more came out at day 16 !!...........i allway's leave the seeds in for at least 20 days, after i had a blueberry germ on me, at day 22 once. So got 10 outa 10 OHS.

A word of caution, it has to be said. Dutch Passion, did not construct, themselves, the OHS or Euforia, or Ultimate. They only contributed from their genetic bank to these strains, which where completed by an UN-known hybridizer in nl. Word has it that the "Power Plant" XXL, was done by this crew along time back. The deal is DP sells the beans and contributed genetics, same as "The Strain Edge" project....... the new Edge strain LB.............with OHS DP contributed the "Orange Bud" from their bank.

The word of caution is;.........."I Have never Ever Had A Dutch Passion Strain" Go into forced or unforced hermaphroditic staminate flower.

But;.......the Euforia, threw 3 outa 8 herms in perfect conditions ??...............as did one of the mained OHS, and 3 outa ten of the OHS that where topped post sexing, so it should not have happened at all. This show that forced pollen has been used to produce XX-XX fems, with the herm trait carried.

That isant the way DP fem their girls. As stated, never had a DP gynoecious girl hermie.

With these strains i noticed that it went on day 60 for some reason, so on day 57 went into room and checked em for staminate, the OHS, and there they where UN-opned babies ??.......in perfect conditions to the T.............only a few where found on mid and lower junior bows, after 3hrs searching "Every" bow, i came out with 15 bollocks UN-opened. My virdict is, on this collaboration, keep your eye peeled, and stick to straight DP strains from now on.

As hermie watching is an added pain in the arse !! That is not needed in addition to the main responsibilities of keeping a spot on environ as well !!.........AB

The hermie on the mains,........one was mained before sexing, so was half expecting it to herm if it, the hermie gene was present etc, but not on the OHS main that where topped post sexing at day 35 etc ??.............>> OHS Mains Herms >>







.........if you find staminate, before it opens and sheds pollen.........you have got clean away with it. And no other herm will show for the rest of the grow. But the finding of them, looking twice daily, on each bow for staminate is a pain.........luckily this time i got away with it, as i knew when it was coming day 50 to 60 !!..and i was right...AB

Now the OHS 60 day hermie window has passed,..........and i caught every bollock before it opened...........the game is now on to fill these little fuckers full of nature chemical wonders !!............as the due date is around mid june, the RH will be up there. And these flowers are ukin massive ive seen. So botrytis and powder white are my main worries to getting these massive blooms home to the jars..........

As we have had a good spring, i am abandoning my thoughts of starting my outdoor project this season of 4 plants in different places. As i believe it wont be a good season for the outdoor Auto's this year. Only Auto's stand a chance in these new season conditions, of finishing outdoors in uk latitude. ..........un like this fellow below in Durban....AB

wow, now that's a jungle, stuff trimming all that! definitely worth getting one of those machines to do it, what they called? oh yeah....the misses.
