Yo Bro,
Happy New Year to you an all!
Been some time since I looked at your grow, sorry about that, superb work tho mate!,
The bit where you had a jungle going on took me back to my early days of growing, trimming the lower bits is very painful but look at the results you have! lots of buds sites, all coming up evenly.
Well done!
You wanna see my mate doing it, he has no heart! hacking away like a madman but he gets brilliant results.
And the mould issue is a killer so had to be done no matter how cruel it feels doing it.

Anyway Great grow dude! Very interesting to read, loads of teccy stuff going on & whats that tube thing going around your LED mate?
You probably posted it earlier but im too blazed to read over ::::

Will pop in from time to time dude, eager to see your results.

Loads of Green Growing Karma your way aswell!

:-P :grin::::: :-P

Much appreciated AO mate, and happy new year to you as well.

The tube is my CO2 delivery... the gas drops over the girls and does it's business!

Cheers for the karma, always needed over here!!!

Hi,

I just wanted to see if these jars are any good for curing and storage.
the are designed for coffee, transparent brown food grade plastic, seal up nice and tight with that black lever on the top, and are made in Germany (so they must be good  )

Cant put trichomes of binium in contact with plastic, as it is a distant derivitive ie resin.........it will bond with it permanently !! = Loss. that why we use glass, as well as the terps cant pass through glass like they do between plastids of plastic unplasticized !!

the nutts the 100% airtight kilner jar.......cover with gaffa tape to keep photons out which break sever trichomes.......

the little 150ml jar is super for keeping the percy in...........that way you only visit the main jar once per week to top up for the week say 7g ??............that way you protect the 62% rh ballance in main jar jars.....or "Breaking Bad" crate full !! AB..........

ps check this out.............it me nxt item...........the new Auto Durban Poison wow.........AB cant wait it 100% sativa at 90cm average.........17% not 8% !! stunner

AUTOBERRY! YOU KNOW YOUR SHIT BRO!

Good information!! i always wondered why my percy plastic pot (for the day) always sabotaged my smoke- my gut instinct told me convert to a glass tablet tube- time ago- WHICH I DID- didnt really research real reasons to do so... anyhow Thus saying 'good information';-put your 'technical' knowledge behind my 'gut instinct'::: :-P ::::

YOUR COOL. IM BUZZING!

Day 97
Day 25 flowering after adjustments.

Hey everyone. All is well in Pineapple Chunk land. The buds are developing well.

My only worry is humidity, it's being well controlled by the Harvest master at 45-65%, but I am concerned that deep within the foliage, the RH will be much higher.

To deal with impending humidity issues, I installed a dehumidifier and moved the internal fans around a bit. I replaced all the T5s with red 2400K tubes, but the heat is a bit much, nudging it upto 31-32C until I realised.... I have ordered 2 Helios 2s and will put one either side of the Helios 6 instead of the T5s. The Helios 6 is at 12 inches, so the sides needed some light. After this grow is done, those Helios 2s will be very useful in the early stages.

Did a full drain and replenish 3 days ago, yesterday the EC went from 1.0 to 0.8 and pH from 5.9 to 5.6 over 2 days, so I topped up and made the EC 1.1. and the pH 6.1 so that it will hopefully drift back to 5.8, this afternoon EC was still 1.1 and the pH was 5.9. Temps in the 28-32C region during daytime, and 25 at night. CO2 1400ppm.

I also added 10ml each of Bud XL and Carboload because I'm gradually increasing these to recommended levels over the next 2 weeks.

Here's some pics of the current state of play...

teetee mate.
I normally have EC at 1.4 to 1.6 3weeks in bloom, I use tap water(EC 0.7) so my EC 2.1 to 2.3
you 4 to 5 weeks to finish so you can push them hard.
your girls looking very nice, keep up good work mate

Day 102
Day 31 flowering

Hi peeps!

I'm around half way through flowering. I'm pretty happy with things - getting bushy again, so I have re-jigged the internal fans so there's more air going through the canopy to protect against mould.

To RO water, I added 13ml Cal - Mag as a buffer, making a starting solution of EC 0.1-0.2. Then I added House and Garden Aqua Flakes base nutes to make EC 1.1.

After pH adjustment, I added the following House and Garden additives:

Drip Clean 6ml
Amino treatment 7.5ml
Multizen 45ml
Bud XL 45ml
(Advanced Nutrients) Carboload 55ml

You may have noticed I have dropped Roots Excellurator. I might use it in the final 3 weeks if I detect any root issues.

I am going to add the H&G product Top Booster as a single shot, in 3 days time, which will remain in the reservoir for 4 days. Top Booster is a PK 13-14 product with added Iron, which I will go into more next post. As I normally top up every 2 days, I slightly overfilled the res to give me an extra day before topping up so I can add the Top Booster.

The final EC was 1.3, 19C pH 5.8.
Environment 30C day 25C night, RH 45-60%, CO2 1400ppm
LED 10" from highest tips, 14"from general canopy height

some of the pistils are turning orange, and the bouquet is really rich already, a light fruity smell, and if I run my fingers through the foliage, they feel nice and tacky afterwards. OMG I can't wait to see what happens over the next 4 weeks!!! (all positive I hope...)

You can see I have lowered the CO2 delivery tube much closer to the canopy. I noticed that the emerging leaves were wider and had a different shape, and there were less of them, 3 leaved instead of 5 or 7. Have a look and see what I mean....

DSC_0016.JPG

DSC_0017.JPG

I have called it a CO2 issue - or phenomenon, but it could also be signs of other problems...
- possible underfeeding as these leaves are getting more CO2 and demanding more than those on the periphery
- these leaves are also much closer to the light... 10 inches and getting less by the minute... maybe it's heat or light causing this?
- possible overfeeding as the affected leaves are curling and getting brown patches.

That's my differential diagnosis... what are your thoughts, Gentlemen (and Ladies).

I have repositioned the CO2 tube to the left so I can see if this happens again. I will probably make a new CO2 tube of wider diameter which I can position nearer the periphery all round, to give them a bit of a boost, but to be honest, there's so much airflow, the CO2 must surely be well mixed in the air anyway, so maybe it's not the CO2 after all?

Also as a final question, what should I do about the foliage in the canopy, there's quite a lot, and buds are being obscured from light by the sheer weight of leaves competing for space. Should I remove a few leaves?

Anyway, dinner's ready, so over to you!!!

Thanks for checking in!
