Your idea would work but you'd likely need one on both sides, depending upon the loss of air speed as the wind whips round from the deflector. It might be easier to raise the little fan up and just point it diagonal into the canopy, as the leaves will pretty much do the same thing as your deflector would.

I am all good here! Watching the babies grow. Haven't made space in the closet, yet, but I really should as the other buckets have water and that will pose a humidity problem in the near future. But I'm stoned and lazy. :D

Hi Guys, Happy New Year, may all your grows be perfect and the yields be limitless!!!

DAY 75

I decided over Christmas that my girls were getting out of control. So I fitted a SCROG net and then went through them like a mad axeman. As a newbie, it's hard to watch the foliage all over the floor after a hard slashing, but in the end, I'm fairly pleased with the outcome.

They've had a few days to recover, and they're at EC 1.0, with CO2 at 1200 - 1400ppm, air temps 28-30C daytime and 24C at night. RH 45-65% Water temp 19C pH 5.8

I've added an extra week to the initial flowering period, for the recovery, and so I'm just (re)entering my 2nd week of flowering. I don't intend to chop any more... they need a good feed and fill out the net.

Any advice and feedback welcome as always!

Thanks for checking in.

cheers Ledbud mate! and Happy New Year! I bet it was a nightmare creeping around trying not to get busted by the Oldies!

As a 1st timer, it's pretty scary chopping 75% of your grow away! Looking at the above scrog pic, I can see tons of tops!!! I just hope that I haven't gone too far trimming... I am giving them a few days rest before reassessing. I made up a new res at EC1.1, and it's staying stable there.

What, if anything do I need to cut away from now? There's a few shots that haven't quite made it to the scrog net... should I cut away everything above these to allow them safe passage through, of just leave them, as they should bud anyway? I understood that you shouldn't top/fim or cut during flowering... and I don't have many big fan leaves to store energy.

So, if you or anyone can help, tell me how I should play things for the next 3-4 weeks. This weekend, I plan to do a drain and replenish of my res, and will use Multizen and amino treatment for the last time. The following week (week 3) I will use Roots excellurator for the last time and add carboload. After that, in week 4, I will start adding the flowering additives starting with Bud XL, Top Booster in week 5 and Top Shooter in week 6. All by House and Garden.

Thanks for checking in, it was well quiet on here over Xmas, hopefully it will pick up now!

RH will drop now you have defoliated, (Added Time To Grow 2-3wks)........due to reduced leaf surface respiration surface area........

When in flower, and half way through this window,...........surface area will increase leading to high RH. leaf ration to area cubic volume due to cab size is high. =

If you increase airflow temps will drop..................dilemma = "In Flower Do Not Exceed 65RH at Any Time" or you will loose the bud to Botrytis and other tee..........dilemma ???

Trick to dodge this ??????

Increase air flow "essential" then Buffer "Air Temp Going in from outside cab" ie heat the room the cab is in (reach equilibrium) or increase heat source (In cab) to offset increased airflow (To Reduce RH) !!!

This is a common issue with small stealth cabs tee............a large 6ft tall double wardrobe with 3 0r 4 girls in is usual stealth..........can you get one and get more height tee ??..........will solve RH issues as more volume of air in culture zone cubic meter wise etc...........shift kit into a larger stealth cab.........would solve it tee..........ps; EC 1.6 is a bit stiff...........move upto 1.2 and wtch leaf tips,........if curled down and small yellow tips apears on leafes..........bac it off...............i am half way through grow 55 days tee and on an ec of 0.7........and all is well,.in fact the color is great.........ie "No Dark Green Overfurt Signs".........ie dark green b4 tips go yellow through over furt etc yea............i prob wont exeed 0.8-0.9 to the finish..............

a word of caution tee................now you have hit the fem/regs hard with the cut back............every 3-5 days from now on check for hermie bollocks at the brached internodes, as many as is pos etc..........just to check the plant dont hermie due to chop shock.........if you do find a bollock (learn ID).........just nip it off with tweezers.........if you find it at micro stage you have 10 days b4 any hormone are released to tell female to make shell !!...........if you are clear of this 25-30 days post 12/12 it is lickly you are clear off shock hermie ok............

The pistilis emerges from the calyx which sits tight down in branched inter-node............the male staminate micro is more rugby ball shapped and on a very small stalk or just of the brach bract internode tee........happy new year bro.........AB

Day 78

All looking good, getting ready for a full drain and replenish tonight, if the little'uns stay asleep for long enough.... takes about 2 hrs if I have a few smokes as well, or an hour if pushed.

I thought I should put up a few pics.... been playing with my macro lens and I made a mistake a few weeks back by saying I had pistils emerging when actually they were just leaves!!!

Here's the grow so far.... getting nice and leafy again, plenty of tucking for me to do tonight to fill up the net a bit more.
