Hi, I'm absolutely gutted, reading the posts on the other forums I used was like reading a book of condolences.... I almost put on 'Candle in the wind'
Got home from Sainsburys on Friday to find a police car outside my place, they know who I am.... so I went down the station and made a statement. I'll be OK... they thought he was an arsehole for calling them in the first place. They were more concerned that a person with a career like mine shouldn't be making threats like that over something as poxy as a laptop.
Walked the dog over the weekend and visited the spot in the forest where I ditched my precious bud.... oh it smells so good, and I didn't save any cos it was full of nute... but I did save the bud from the stems I cut off a couple of weeks ago when the nanners showed. They've been curing so I have about 2-3 joints to smoke later. EDIT they got me stoned but (cough) they were full of nute as well.
I planted 4 seeds in October, at considerable expense, and I had 2-3 crap joints to show for it! That has to be a record, surely!!!
All is not lost. This whole grow has been a joy. If anyone wants to grow Pineapple chunk, go for it. She's very forgiving, and you can learn a lot from growing her, by experimenting with pruning techniques etc.
House and Garden nutes are great... never had a problem with them, the root balls were lovely creamy white and HUGE. The additives all made sense, and in my opinion did the job, especially Roots Excellurator, Multizyme, Algen Extract, Amino Extract, Top Shooter and Bud XL.
I also think hydroponics (especially DWC) is not as difficult as one might expect for a novice grower. Everyone's advice to me was to keep it simple, and I ignored them, mainly because I was working in a wooden cabinet, smaller than most tents, thus having a difficult environment to manage. I got a load of stick for using CO2, but I still maintain my grow needed it... it allowed me to grow at higher temperatures, and it might be a useful tip for those growers who aren't necessarily interested in increased yields, but have to stop growing in warmer weather.
I nearly pulled off a nice harvest, and I'm confident that I could do better next time anyway (probably doing a single bucket DWC or airpot).
I have learned loads
and met (albeit online) a lot of really decent geezers
who are only too happy to share the knowledge and help each other along, not just with the grow, but all the emotional shit that comes with it.
I've got some nice kit that I know does the job... next time there's a 110 day window, I can get going again.
As for me.... well I ought to keep low for a bit. My fixer got busted getting me 2 oz the other night as well, so maybe someone's trying to tell me something!
The job situation is crap as well. There's a country far away where the kangaroos roam free and the work is plentiful, and now that I have a big hole in my life, I can focus on getting the hell out.
It will be difficult to grow there straight away, but one we're settled, who knows
All the best of growing karma to all who read my ramblings !!!
Special thanks goes out to:

I'll pop in from timeto time, to check on your grows and get even more jealous. Keep in touch, as Arnie once said.... I'll be back
