Hey Guys!

I haveplanted 4 new girls. These being

X2 Dutch Passion Auto Lemon Zkittle.
X1 Mephisto Genetics Double Grape
X1 Mephisto Genetics Alien Vs Triangle

I have had to change a few things regarding the setup. The tent is still in use to dry the plants from the previous grow. It is easiest to control temp and humidity and i don't want to risk mould. SO... there has been some lighting mod cons, the current lighting situation is...

1.) Alien Vs Triangle > Sharing the Skyline 600mk2 with 12 week old Glueberry! 8 days old.

2.) Double Grape > She has a Sky 100 to her self. AGE > 4 days old

3.) Lemon Zkittle > She has a Sky 100 to her self. AGE > 6 days old

4.) Lemon Zkittle > She has a Sky 100 to her self. AGE > 6 days old

The glueberry in all her glory.

I spent a good while mapping out the space for these to veg outside the tent and create a consistent environment. Getting the most out of the lights i have.

I am looking to scale up the lights as they grow.

1> Both the Lemon Zkittle will be going under the 400 when they reach 8 /10 days old.

2> The AVT and Glueberry will remain under the 600 until the tent is available in 5/7 days time.

3> The DG will then be under 3 Sky 100s until they can all go back into the tent...

... This time with the addition of another Sky100.

It took me 3 hours to decide this setup, need to stop getting so high hahah. This means that the plants can have their lighting change as they progress to really push them.

That's it for now! There will be some more regular updates that the chop is out the way!

It got far to hot up there bro!

Say cheese girllsss….

Groupie:

Back left: Double Grape
Back right: Alien Vs Triangle
Front Left: DP Lemon Zkittle >>> Soon to be swapped out
Front Right: Sweet & Sour

Group.jpg

Where to begin… lol

This grow already has had its ups and downs… Which I was annoyed about but I now think a blessing in disguise. But we have totally changed up the plan…

All 3 of the DP Lemon Zkittle seeds were an absolute flop. I am really disappointed with them this time around as they have fucked up my whole schedule. I wanted all of them to be at the stage the AVT is now. This considered, it was a pack of 3, so I am putting it down to a dud pack… I blamed myself, but then realised that the Mephisto replacements I soaked and planted germinated out of the soil within 48 hours… HMMM… Nevermind!

The first Lemon Zkittle if you remember failed to germinate… We replaced With a Double Grape Mephisto Genetics.

The second had an awful growth rate and was just not going anywhere fast and was replaced with a Sweet and Sour Mephisto Genetics. She looks nice happy and healthy, here she is on day 2 from germination.

Sweet and sour:

DP Lemon Zkittle:

The third Lemon Zkittle, as you will see has decided to mutate and is being replaced today…
She is on day 21... apparently... poor kid...

I have decided to repot her into a small plastic pot later on today and put it on the side like the 5th GOG that was in the tent. I'm not hopeful but she will be in the infirmary to see what she produces if anything and see what i can do with her to remedy her retardedness.

I want 4 strong and healthy girls and I didn’t think this had the potential to be as good as it can be having so much trouble so early in life.

This will leave me with a 20L fabric pot spare, full and ready to rock... For the replacement I needed stable and proven genetics with the scope to get a big yield… DP genetics are still incredible... SO I did this, this morning.

BCN Critical seed.jpg

Hopefully this BCN Critical XXL will be a worthy replacement! I am aiming for a nice chunky and greasy girl with some dense ass buds and strong smoke. Hopefully a good freebie!

She will be subject to the same type of training the 5th GOG was… matter of fact they all will if I can have the height off them to mess with. Praying for some legs on these girls.

DOUBLE GRAPE:

The double grape is doing fine also and seems happy. She is on day 11 now and going at her own pace. Just giving her a gentle sprinkle of tap water daily until she hits day 14. Then I will increase her quantity of water. She looks a little yellow so i will let her grow a bit and give her some cal mag soon'ish.

AVT:

I am so happy with the progress of this little lady right now. She is responding really well to her incrementally increasing EC feed, and I am tucking some of the larger fans so more light can penetrate. There isn’t to much foliage yet so no need for me to mess with her too much.

Here she is a couple days ago on day 18:

AVT day 18.jpg

Alien Vs Triangle day 18.jpg

The leaf curling is due to some hot temps.

I haven’t let temps build up though, as soon as the alarm sounds at 29 degrees I try to bring it back down to 24 which is doable but she doesn't like it when the humidifier is empty.

This is easier now that the GOG is on flush and I have just taken her out of the tent. It means that I can switch off the Sky100 and use the 600+400 to veg the 4 girls for now until they reach flower.

I have made some little hooks to pop into the soil with some really strong garden wire. I used two pliers to bend it accurately and hold down the lower fan leaves. I am still learning so I just sit with my plants and stare at them to see what would be the best way to tie down with the least stress. I enjoy giving them the consideration to grow healthy and strong without hurting them.

Here is the AVT after a couple more days on day 21. Here she has started her feed schedule and is picking up the pace. I am making a different feed schedule for each girl this time with the strains being different.

AVT again.jpg

AVT day 21.jpg

avt full.jpg

It was around day 17 I started noticing the roots sticking out of the sides of the AVT fabric pot… I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing… I don’t want them to run out of space lol. But I have decided to top up the soil when the lower leaves die off, hopefully more water and nutrients can trickle down to the roots.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Within the next couple of runs or so I am going to trade one of the Auto spots in the tent for a photo plant that I will remove and put into darkness when required so it can veg/flower. I think it would be nice to have a photo grow along side the autos and although the range and choice and quality of autos now is exceptional and sometimes exceeds photos… It's just that there's a couple of strains I want to grow out and i think it will help me improve my skills.

Potentials:

Ken Estes Grand Daddy Purple

KenEstes GDP: Candyland

In house genetics Slurricane

Alien Abduction. Flavour Chasers.

Blackwater. Cali Connection.

Tropicana Cookies. Oni Seeds.

You guys should see my bean list! SO i hope you guys don’t mind sharing the show with a photo from time to time.

On that note, Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Thanks for your time.
Peace and Love.

Wow Bro, certainly having some ups and downs there..... bad luck with those Zkittles.... you should get in touch with Dutch Passion Tony on AFN, he'll probably send you some replacements.
Watch out though, it's such a heavily in demand strain there was talk that it is out of stock everywhere.
Also I hear a lot of issues with LZ.... I worry that DP is getting a bit of instability in their newer strains, having not grown them out enough... all these new hybrids have a family tree of ancestors as long as your arm... and any pheno can turn up.

Mephisto gear is lovely, I just started a Toofless Alien, so he have a couple of half sisters!

There's a lot going on in your garden, you're gonna have to try and get some cooler air in there somehow, or increase the general airflow... they will slow down if they get too heat stressed, and they'll start drinking too much, concentrating the medium, then they'll lock out and not drink at all.... and you'll have problems for the rest of the grow.

I'd increase the frequency of the feeds to keep the balance right before they go down... but keep the EC's low.... they'll take what they need if you put it in there often enough.

I use Cal-Mag from day 1.... mainly to prevent those Cal Mag issues (aparrently it's essential when using LEDs) but also to act as a pH buffer to my EC 0 rainwater.

hey teetee!

thanks for your advice and looking out.

I have made a few adjustments regarding the garden... The alien vs triangle is doing ok but you are right with what you are saying about slower growth due to heat. This is something that i am massively conscious of... i think i will aim towards the bottom part of the scale between 21/24 thats what it has been recently since the temp spikes.

This is all a learning curve though and i need to make these mistakes to learn not to do them again. And the good news is... i have a shit load of seeds because i knew i would overlook things eventually.

I have adjusted the setup a little bit, theres no lights outside the tent now meaning outer temperatures are cooler. And i know now that i need to veg somewhere else so i just re-assesed.

I will look into the dutch passion side of things too, they were pretty much doomed before they started but I bought 10 that was probably a TOTAL waste of money! Saying that though i don't think i have seen a successful grow of LZKT auto so i think you are 100%. I have soaked a Colorado cookies this morning so i will give em another try and see what is cracking. My fear is my complaint will not hold any substance as i am a new grower. It is possibly a good thing because i am so ontop of shit now. haha, lets see.

I am looking forward to learning from your grow bro!!

I am considering doing the next run with the mephisto perspective of growing loads of plants in smaller pots, they have an auto grow guide and claim this is how they run their strains for the results on the pack... 550/600g metre squared.

cogs are turning mate! might go a bit quiet online for a while whilst i arrange some stuff, but i will be back with vengeance. haha.

peace.

updateupdateupdate...

Hello everyone!! Hope you are all good, I have been super busy!

We had a few little hiccups this grow but i am very thankful for them! The original plan has changed so drastically i should start a new thread but never mind lol. I had to get on top of my garden there was too much going on. This made temps high and i think had a knock on effect with heat stress etc.

I wont bore you guys to much with the particulars, but in a nutshell:

1.)The Dutch Passion Lemon Zkittle seeds did turn out to be a terrible batch. However i did reach out to Tony of Dutch Passion and he sorted me out good and proper!! Safe to say, I definitely will not be needing seeds for a while! Thank you Dutch passion, my faith is restored.

2.) Whats growing?
Currently i have got:
the original Alien Vs Triangle that was planted at the start of this thread which is doing ok.
the original double grape, also planted at the start of the thread.
Both of these are fine but too small for my liking. The bud will be a great smoke but for the space taken and the power used... its not as efficient as the glueberry.
The BCN Critical and sweet and sour mutated then slowed so i decided to murder them to make space for something new.
These were replaced with a Barneys Purple Punch Auto and a Colorado Cookies Dutch passion into 22L fabric pots.
i will post the update on these soon!

3.) Leading me onto my new approach > Mephisto plants from here will be grown in 10L fabric pots with a single Sky 100 each (X4). There will be some light bleed over from the footprint of the sky 600 +400 but not much.

Sometimes you just have to draw a line under things and start again... Saying that... I am now a force to be reckoned with!!

I also have a single plant photo closet grow on the go at the moment in DWC with a single 800w Skyline... TASTY!

So i have been dormant on here... but slowly working like an elf in the background.

There will be photos soon! good vibes to you all!

Well done getting in touch with DP Tony.... he's very generous, and especially as a newer grower, he's always keen to help out.
Keep your seed collection sealed (double bagged and still in their cans) and keep them in the bottom part of your fridge.... I have seeds over 5 years old, they can build up!
But this way you can pop seed that are well old.... one of my current grow seeds was over 3 years old, and it was the first to pop!
My power went off once, and the bloody fridge defrosted..... no problem about temperature, but the bottom compartment (with the seeds) was about 4 inches deep in water, seed packs floating around everywhere....
They were all fine.... the DP cans leaked and the paper packets inside were sodden, I was stressing, but those paper packs are lined with plastic, and they didn't leak,
Now I keep them in a lidded plastic tub... doh!

Keep up the good growing Bro, and yeah, why not bang in a few photos.... gonna be a pain to move them around when they get big though, and keeping strict darkness for 12/12 to avoid hermies.... but I know you'll smash it!
