Greetings from California! I grow anything and everything under LED. Even my aquarium is LED it! LED has been the future and I've been proud to be using this wonderful tech for at least 5 years!

How goes, all?

Hi, nice to meet you.

You Californians have some lovely equipment available, I guess 'cos of the Medical need. What sort of set up do you use mate?
I have seen a few DWC systems that I'm going to try and copy and thought you might have some advice for me. supercloset.com and Acetech have their own hydro systems that look like they work very nicely, but before I start chopping up tubs and bits of tubing, I wondered if you have heard of any useful changes or modifications, such as adding a water cooler etc.

I like a bit of technology and chemistry and even though there's some good equipment here in the UK, I wanna try something different. I don't mind having a go at making something if it's going to be as good as something already tried and tested like Autopot, Brummie Bubblers and Plant!t etc systems available over here, and both Supercloset and Acetech make some remarkable claims about their products!. Any news on the grapevine your end would be greatly appreciated!

DWC is one of the easiest systems to make, even from spare stuff. Got a cat? Two cat litter buckets can make a great and effective DWC system. All you do is make sure those two buckets can stack inside each other with a few centimeters of space between the bottoms of the buckets, choose a top bucket that will have holes drilled into the bottom and which will hold the plant and hydroton medium, put an airstone and run air line up the side of the bucket (it should fit snugly between the two stacked buckets and not be cut off from airflow.) This is called the Krusty Bucket, an old Overgrow forums favorite.

Given you're in the UK, you shouldn't need a water chiller, especially while running LED.

Technology and all is great for hydro, but quite often the best results come from the simplest setups. If you want advice, feel free to just ask me! There's good reason I've been featured on High Times Pix of the Crop! :)
