Introducing the Skysaber 640w LED grow lights.
https://ledhydroponics.co.uk/product/sk ... ow-lights/

Featuring 640W of both CREE and SAMSUNG chips, these LED’s work in total and utter harmony when coupled with the U.L Meanwell drivers on board. The design of the Skysaber is optimized for grow spaces ranging from 1.2m x 1.2m up to 1.5m x 1.5m.

These units feature two, silent and powerful onboard fans. Testing for the Skysaber units is vigorous. They are tested for weeks on end running up to 24 hours a day to ensure stable and solid performance throughout your grow.

The Skysaber weighs only 9kg when constructed and is super slim. This allows you to use the maximum height in your grow room, with an even footprint throughout the space.

We focussed on our customer feedback and admiration of the build quality in the Skyline, so with Skysaber, we’ve made sure the assembly is both innovative and extremely high quality throughout.

The robust ventilated centre column acts as the backbone, housing multiple Meanwell Drivers with connectors close to each LED bar. It also features a clever screw-free, latch-and-connect design for connecting the LED bars.

This means you can assemble in place – put the centre unit in its perfect spot using the hanging kit, then quickly attach and connect the individual LED bar elements which of course feature quality Samsung and Cree LEDs. No screws required!

The result is quite awesome to behold. From a relatively small package unfolds a beast of an LED grow light, able to cover a large area with highly intense light that is spread evenly over that area.

It’s the stuff plants dream of!

We’ve advanced the modular concept massively on this one – and at only 9KG , you’ll find this is very easy to transport, handle, get attached on a hanging kit and assemble in place. (The handling and hanging of a light this size would normally be a real challenge – the Skysaber is effortless) Being modular of course, results in greatly improved user serviceability and also ensures that even if an LED bar were to fail, you won’t lose the entire output from the other bars.

Hello everyone!!

Thanks for letting me test the new tech muddy!!! i have been itching to post about this new piece of kit!!
It is an absolute pleasure to be using the Skysaber for this test grow.
Im gonna keep this one simple and let the plants and LED do the talking!

Here are the parameters for this grow:
Skysaber 640W LED light
5 foot X 5 Foot tent
Prima Klima 6inch fan and Carbon filter
Puremate Humidifier 3L (VEG) /
Dehumidifier 700ml Flower and dry
50/50 Plagron light and Coco Mix
30L Airpots
10L Fabric Pots

On first impression assembling the light is VERY easy! There is a very useful instructional video that has been made which helped me put this together:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMM2__-zRo4

It arrived well packaged and promptly as all LED Hydroponics LTD stuff tends to, and I am surprised at the fact it is a 4 ft X 4ft light but condenses into a relatively small box. After assembling and planning the setup of the tent, I cracked on and got to planting.

For this run I will be growing:

X2 Auto Night Queen Dutch Passion (30L)

X2 Auto Colorado Cookies Dutch Passion (30L)

X1 Auto Orange Bud Dutch Passion (30L)

X1 Auto Purple Punch Barneys. (30L)

I have also decided to fill some room with some 10L fabric pots. In these I have.

Auto Night Queen Dutch Passion
CDLC Mephisto Genetics
The Goldilocks zone Night Owl Seeds
Strawberry Nuggets X2
Deez Nuggs (not potted up yet)
Not to forget the little bubba island kush photo who is joining in sitting in her little rockwool cup vegging away.

Thanks for reading, please tag up and sub up!!

Full post with pictures coming shortly!

Peace.

Group Shot:

Here are my girls on day 15 all happy saying hello! I have just stopped spraying and started watering between 400-600ml.

After germination in paper towels then seeds were put into the pots after the soil had acclimatised and gone warm for about a day or so. Since then, the temp has been

a steady 23.5 / 25 degrees C with a RH of 60/65%

In the next couple of days they will be receiving Cal mag at 1ml per L to keep their growth lush and prevent any deficiencies from using the LED.

I normally give plain water for the early stages until around day 18

You may have noticed… I discovered that the Skysaber is also PERFECT for germinating your seeds on when wrapped up in paper towels!

In the 2nd and 3rd pictures above, at this moment in time the loops connecting the Skysaber are long, so i will shorten these in future to maximise the height i can get in the tent, paired with the slim profile of the light itself, WERE ROCKING!

As you can see the ladies are pretty much of similar size, apart from the Barneys Purple punch which is short and squat in comparison. Which I hope is actually a Purple Punch this time!!  Come on guys i just want the right seed! ::::

Purple Punch:

4.jpg

Saying that, my friend has just grown 2 beautiful purple punch and mid veg the stretch went insane, so never say never! On the bottom right.. is my foot. Hi.

The Dutch Passion beans, all sprouted taproots after a 12 hour soak, pretty much within 6 hours of each other. Fine, fine genetics! Poetry in motion!

Mixing the soil for these 30L was no joke, it was a pretty tiring ordeal and because I have never worked with airpots… I made a bit of a mess lol. DAMN THOSE HOLES!

Orange Bud:

9.jpg

The orange bud in the 30L is kicking ass!!! I have just ordered some DP Critical Orange Punch for a future run too.

I have also decided to do some 10L fabric pots. Although it was important to showcase the capabilities of the light, I also fancied some variety. Mephisto Genetics tend to have some really nice strains that I had as seeds, but are very small in stature. So I decided to give these a go and see what they would do! You may be able to zoom in and see the tags on the pots but just incase… from left to right, top to bottom…

CDLC
STRAWB NUGGS 1
STRAWB NUGGS 2 (1 day old) shes tiny tiny
The Goldilocks zone (Cant wait to see this one!!) Night owl Seeds
Dutch Passion Night Queen… Couldn’t help myself lol! Maybe use this for concentrate

11.jpg

That’s about it for now, as time goes on I am going to give each other the large 30L more specific names so we can follow them post by post.

Not forgetting the Bubba Island Kush Photo in Rockwooll, she is just a few hours old and will be for a special DWC grow.

Thats it for now people! I'll check in next week with the progress! Happy growing,

Peace

:grin:::::

Hey!! I thought i would just do a post of s ltd edition seed,
It is called 'The Goldilocks Zone' and as been made by one of the mepisto guys.

GENETIC LINE > (Double Grape x 3BOG) x Blue Microverse F1 Family Tree: (Sour Stomper x Grape Crinkle x 3 Bears OG) F1 x (24 Carat x Blue Magoo bx²)
She is on day 14 here in a 10L fabric pot trudging along nicely. Still with plain water feeds as the medium uses its nutes to get her started :

She has been a gem right out the gates, i think one to watch! Im glad i have popped only one of these to see how she will grow and then i will put the others

in a LTD EDITION run perhaps...

I know she looks a bit dry but i did water her after the photo shoot lol.

Hey guys, time for a quick update. This is mostly for the 30Ls in the 5x5. will do another post for the 10Ls with some pics separately.

The girls have been behaving themselves well! Everyone is getting along and stretching their legs because they have the room. I love this tent, so much space, I can’t wait until it is wall to wall of beautiful colourful buds…

Here they are on day 21:

1.jpg

2.jpg

3.jpg

4.jpg

The more observant ones of you have probably noticed the DWC that has taken pride of place bottom right. She went into her pot a few days ago. She will veg in there with her auto sisters on the 20/4 schedule and then be moved into a separate flowering tent which is where I will flip her into flower. I’m really looking forward to my first time flowering a DWC grow. I'll take a few more pics later.

I have popped another Bubba Island Kush photoperiod and put her in soil, so she will have a sister. I want to see if:

DWC difficult?
DWC improve the quality of the bud compared to soil?
How does this differ compared to auto bud, if at all?
Is taste and smell preserved better through photoperiods?
What is the comparison with yield and efficiency, only having 12 hours of light flower in comparison to a potential 24hr.

Hey!! I just realised ive not done a post on here since day 21!!! Can't be having that, need to pull my finger out sometimes!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here they all are, seemingly happy on day 33.

group.jpg

Group 2.jpg

I took a step back and realised the monumental task I have ahead of myself keeping ontop of their feeds! So I popped another 2 seeds. Haha. In the picture below, they are in the following formation...

ColCookies. 30L | OrangeBud 30L | Night queen 1. 30L

Night Queen 2 30L | Col cookies 2 30L | Purple punch. 30L

TGZ 10L | Strawb Nugg 10L | Deez nuggs 10L | Deez Nuggs 20L | Bubba Island Kush 20L soil

NQ 3 10L | CDLC 10L | Bubba Kush hydro |

Group 3.jpg

A whopping 14 plants and about 9 different strains lol.

As you can see it’s been a busy one so far! They all got staked and stretched out a bit. I removed a handful of leaves/nodes from the bottoms/top and did some gentle LST.

Colorado Cookie 1:
This girl is the easiest going, her growth is vigorous and I think she will give some nice colour judging by some of the hues on the leafs when you are close.

Purple Punch:

She aint even purple yet… haha I’m just kidding, colour aside she’s a fine specimen. I have tried to induce as much stretch into this girl as possible and it has paid off. Instead of staking her I just got some garden wire and tied the branches to the holes in the airpots, easy peasy. Then I did some defoliating and theres some bud sites off the branches reaching up.

Moving onto the 10Ls. My little stars, here they are.

2.99 10l group.jpg

Strawberry Nuggets:

Moving on to this absolute beauty! I have just ordered some more of her seeds because I couldn’t help myself, she has been good as gold from the offset. I have started defoliating larger fans off, so I think the little nubs you see on the sides should be shoots next week.

Things on the whole are looking good. I think there will definitely be a range of different finish times for this grow. However trying to feed plants that are all at different stages can be tiring... But i could have worse problems so i don't really mind haha. There has been a little discolouration here on some leaves here and there but i'm not worried. The 30L are drinking 3L a day now which i will increase accordingly if they can take it. Airpots seem to take forever to water! but that's just because im new. I am trying the next run with 30L fabric pots to see what differences there are, upto now my yields have been decent so lets see if the airpots improve that...

Cookie 1

The buds are looking like they will swell... but just how much is the question!

Purple Punch:

The buds on this are already so dense and swelling quick! Ok, another non purple pheno, but i don't mind atall. Still a great structure and i think will give me a decent yield after adjusting the tie downs every other day, or you would run the risk of maybe a third of larf with this pheno.

Bubba Island Kush DWC DP DAY 25:

I am ecstatic to flip this girl into flower next week! It says she has a short 7 week flower cycle and i am going to take two cuttings just incase she is a diamond. Never done that before!! As you know there is a soil of the same strain about a week behind this, depending on the ease of the grow and the yield i may be going full DWC for the photos then possibly the autos.
