from what i have heard about the SSV it has been compared to the volcano by some (better, by others) ,its a small desktop whip system , no bags ......... the taste from it is meant to be by far the best taste from any vape ,so said a review i watched where a guy has tried close to every vaporizer available (really taste what you smell in your weed) and it looks sexy to with custom blown glass dial and other glass parts

its a really sexy bit of kit and im seriously thinking about pulling the trigger , im the same ledbud mate , i LOVE wrapping a J and smoking it but got to be more health conscious now a days hey

its £200 in uk from the uk without all the options ..... you can order from them direct but they are american , and once extras are bought ,postage and more than likely , import tax , it works out at quite a bit more than our £200

Hi, just thought I'd add my experience of vapourizers.
Bought one ages ago (12?) called the 'vapureyes'. Essentially a car lightbulb in a marmalade jar. Absoultely useless, just toasted my precious student grade bud.
I went off the idea completely until we wanted a stealthier and healthier way to enjoy nature's finest. So after loads of research about 4 years ago we bought a Herbalaire. The Volcano was available as well, but it seemed too big, not as portable, and the herbalaire worked on similar concepts, albeit with just slightly less performance than the Volcano, as it required an (upgradeable) aquarium air pump to draw the hot air over the bud to inhale either direct or into a bag. At the time, all reviews seemed to put it in 2nd place close to a Volcano. It was a Canadian Medical device so I assumed it should be legit.
I felt that filling a bag with vapour is a size related thing, as a small bag limits the amount inhaled, the Herbalaire delivered nice thick vapour for sure, so we bought these great big long american oven turkey bags.
We sat there quite happily inhaling the contents of the bags, looking like a couple of gluesniffers. I tried again and again, and just couldn't get as stoned as I would if I were smoking a joint. I should have gone and spent a bit more to get the Volcano, but after shelling out for this and not being happy, I am not going to bother, just in case I lose again.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but Vaping for me doesn't hit the spot like a good old J, plus you can look like an idiot breathing off a bag (better than an Oxygen mask later on... said one devotee), and a J is just more social and portable.
If anyone wants a Herbalaire, they can make me an offer But to be honest don't bother unless you have tried and liked only a Volcano, it's expensive but it seems you may in this case get what you paid for, but it's a costly mistake if it's no good for you. I don't think any other brand can match it, but it's not for me.

thanks for the views matey , the thought of it not getting me stoned is prevalent in my head whenever i think about vaperizers!!! like you say they cost a fortune and if they are not for you its a lot of money to waste. Fair enough it can be put on ebay etc but thats just hassle init!!
I read about the harbleaire and was thinking about it but as you see my mind is now changed.

I did have my heart set on a herborizer XL , but again, its a lot of money to shell out !!!!

Yeah, definitely don't get the Herbalaire. I'm sure it's great for medical use, not for recreational though for sure. Tolerance... eh? Such a pisser. Just got back from Miami after 2 weeks non smoking. Oh the first few days back on it were lovely! Maybe should have fired up the Herbalaire then and stuck with it.
Plus at a festival etc, where are you gonna plug the volcano in.
