Okay, we all know there's huge debate about which lighting is better for your plants. Well, really, NONE. In reality, it's all in how you handle and place/utilize your lights. I've seen impressive grows done using halogen work lighting. Sure the buds were not their best/fattest, but they were dank (...
Well, My seeds hadn't done a damned thing. So I turned the cubes upside down and tapped out the seeds. Not a single root had bothered to go any further. Of course, I set them in a glass of water overnight, the roots start to pop out just fine. I think my pH testing solution is out of whack/too old, ...
Thank you very much for that LEDWCRigger mate! Goes to show what a little knowledge and patience can do. I'm thinking of taking the portable aircon unit apart to see if I can make that any quieter as well. I'll let you know how it goes!:::: O-rings and rubber gaskets everywhere. Every screw ...
So jealous, god job getting them going so quickly. I dropped my seeds in water, waited about two days for them to crack and pop roots and transplanted them, and they're still below the surface level of the rockwool cubes. Well I haven't looked as of YET for today, but I'll go do that in a minute aft...
The rust in my pump is due to the humidity levels around the fish tank causing oxidation of the metal that gets knocked off of the transformer coil when the magnet rubs. Since the pump intakes the air immediately around the tank, it gets quite a bit of humidity, even with the filter pad on the botto...
Yes, "stealth" and DWC is difficult. Especially with external growing boxes. I wanted to clarify a bit further on my point of those silver ones being noisy little buggers, and show you how to fix that issue. 128_0026.JPG Al these things are are really transformers, magnets, lever arms, and...
A note about the silver pump (I have two of the two-outlet versions)
Yes, those things are incessantly noisy. If you pop it open, you'll see many things aren't quite secured in place, and plenty of stuff that can rattle around inside.
Cheers for that bit of theory LEDDWCrigger. How does it affect the buds though, I'd imagine they are denser in the middle, as less space beteween nodes? So am I right thinking heavier, shorter (ie denser) buds in the middle and fluffier as you get to the edges? Or nothing noticeable? Only one way t...
Is there a reason why the plant directly under the light is shorter than around the sides.... I've seen this before with LEDs, and I know there's a good explanation. or is it just the way the pic was taken? When you're directly under the light, you have a higher photon flux density (more photons) v...
